RESURRECTING YOUR LINK OF INSPIRATION

Sitting quietly looking at the ocean, my eyes gazed upon the sun beaming golden light piercing the calm, gentle, and still ripples on the water.

As the cries of seagulls filled in nature’s orchestra pit in front of me in stereo, I wondered how many souls were being infused with this same exact source of inspiration.

This stimulating majestic masterpiece provided an upward spiraling inspiring energy, which swelled in crescendo with each breeze and soft micro movement of small waves.  My soul was surprised that in this stillness, the light alone was enough.  There was no need for the high tide production of crashing surf to make the presence impactful.  Inspiration existed within tranquility, and this was enough.  Ahh….

I had wished in that moment I could capture the surreal force, that invigorated my being in 4D, beyond just a simple photograph or video, as it genuinely does not do it justice.  The magnetic, captivating lure was bigger than my human was, because it left me breathless in awe.

Sometimes that kind of energy can be unexplainably intimidating in its grandeur for some to understand, because just is.  The only thing I could equate it to would be the Redwood Forest or the Grand Canyon or being on the rooftop of the tallest point in a city at night where the lights draw you into romanticism.

It is a place where the stillness instills wonder, inspires through just being, and is there to take in with its own fanfare of existing.  It is the kind of feeling you get when you are cradled in comfort while exhilarated simultaneously, INSPIRATION is one of the most euphoric things for your total being in one non-stop flight.

It got me thinking about this very question: What inspires you?

Where do you continue to resurrect your LINK of inspiration?

How often do you need to tap into cultivating more inspiration, based on your energy expenditure?

Do you have only one source or several?

Perhaps you have not thought about this question as a human.
Maybe you have not dared to ask yourself about this as a soul.

You might already have your default methods for resurrecting your inspiration automatically and have not even given this a second thought; or maybe it does not matter to you as you go about your day as you are functioning on autopilot.

For those of you who are coming up empty, it might be time to create an ongoing list so that you have an automatic ‘go-to list’ to resurrect your inspiration for those ‘empty-tank times.’

We know there are days where you overplay your hand in the generosity of your spirit, your time, and your external ‘being on’ liveliness.  This happens (and it is normal) when you feel as if your soul is tired as you watch your human limping to the proverbial finish line of your day or week’s agenda.  These are the days when your exhausted warrior battle cry and/or your rebel yell leave you to where you barely have a voice left to speak.

Humans sometimes push the envelope too far and will exhaust their inspiration tank endlessly, sometimes consciously and foolishly, even if the old soul fully comprehends all of this from past wisdom, what this will mean.

This is when you may hit a wall, and of course, it is natural for you to need inspiration the most when you arrive at this place.

Whether you are inspired by nature or by the enthusiasm and adrenaline of a hobby, sport, activity, or by art, music or any other source - for inspiration to be fully maximized, it is best to be present for it in the following ways:

·         Witnessing/observing

  • ·         Extracting
  • ·         Appreciating
  • ·         Allowing yourself to be interwoven into the experience, so you can be swept away to draw out the best of the experience

Let us make a very important distinction:

  • ·         INSPIRATION is designed to excavate what is already WITHIN YOU.
  • ·         MOTIVATION is about DRIVING YOU FORWARD.

Many people confuse them as being the same thing, but they WORK DIFFERENTLY.

Need more clarity?  While hitting ‘the wall’ is normal and happens to everyone, MOTIVATION sometimes has its own limits…. Here is a video for review:

So as we return to the initial question of where your inspiration comes from, it is also important to not only have a source, but to find ways for you to continue to cultivate ways to become inspired for your being to refuel and reignite your inner fire and purpose.

Like motivation, inspiration is necessary as a part of your mind, body, soul, and spirit health well-being and maintenance.

How you become self-sustainable with your inspiration is vital for you to keep balance as you motor through the day-to-day, but also to help strengthen your core grounding to overcome challenges that may come your way.  It is like preventative mental, emotional, and spiritual medicine for your soul.

If you take the time to understand how to continue to tap into where you get inspired, you can take great comfort during those times for when you may come to a crossroads.

Knowing how to stay alert and aware, you will not have to figure out HOW to FIND your inspiration again, it will become natural to you, the more aware you become with your need for refortification.

Do not worry, you will not need to create a strategy, rather you have something else already within you:

Our higher consciousness can be our best friend to tell us when our inspiration bank needs attention.

When we feel that ‘lack,’ that ‘void,’ the ‘meh,’ ‘blah,’ or simply know we need to do something to something different to feel that moving magic within again, our inspiration button has a way of getting our attention.

Start accumulating your go-to resources for inspiration.  You will find yourself always prepared for those moments when you need to refortify your energy to be grounded once again.

Meanwhile, look around you, pay attention to your environment and pause in the moment to take assessment of how even the small moments in stillness might be able to help you find inspiration daily.

Namaste.
