REMOVING THE CAUTIOUS LABEL LINK FROM YOUR OPTIMISM

I sit here with coffee steaming from my cup on this overcast California morning.
Today is different.  It feels different from my usual instinct of bolting like a wild horse out the gate as the lifelong caffeine achiever that I am.

Instead, on this day, I sit with the crows cawing.  As loud as they are, the air is still and quiet, yet there is movement flowing. I hear them, smile and say "thank you."

They signal the change that is happening, (a gift) transformation, destiny, alchemy, and assistance as medicine to support intention.

They ask you to pull back for assessment and self-counsel so you can be more assured of your steps to ensure a level of positivity for the changes you make in your life. That is their true representation, though others would not agree.

Some nature people believe crows signal being “cautiously optimistic” - however, that has always seemed oxymoronic to me.

While others may look at this as the crow’s trickster magic, I dare to challenge and ask, “Isn’t the real trickster here, your own perception within your own mind?”

Think about that for a second, as I gently ask you to get back to me with your own thoughts.

Meanwhile, I graciously thank you for allowing me to share thoughts of my own…

I do not subscribe in being “cautiously optimistic.”  This is a very distinctive contrast for me – you are either optimistic or you are not. Perception is always subjective, but in my eyes optimism should be pure motivation, inspiration and organic as it is… it does not need a side-label to sabotage itself.

Why should one caution one’s self about being positive?  If you tweak the LINK in your brain to believe optimism is not something you should be afraid of feeling, then cautious optimism does not have to be necessary or even exist. Why be afraid of being positive?

Most choose this as a ‘guard’ or a ‘wall’ (defense mechanism) in order to protect themselves from being hurt, disappointed or hopeful. This is where human ego attaches itself to the outcome.  But what if you detach yourself from the outcome and merely be optimistic that things will turn out the way they are supposed to for REAL CHANGE to happen as a result of whatever happens?  We do not control everything – life has a way of bringing things to light for us to see, to create change even from the challenges.

While, intellectually I accept from others that people like to cross fingers, hope for the best, and do not wish to put eggs all in one basket like an Easter bunny, let’s keep in mind that hidden golden eggs in life exist.

In other words, disappointment only comes when you have expectation from the get-go and THIS is the reason WHY people utilize that phrase.

Are you smiling at that one?  Isn't it silly to be your own buzz kill before you even can experience the actual ‘surprise of joy?’  Why do that to yourself?

Go ahead and laugh... millions of people do this to themselves every day.
While it is not funny, (sad actually) that this is happening and we can create change from this space; it is funny to think that it is such a "well, DUH/A-HA" moment that has not come to light sooner.

But alas it is here for you. That's you're golden egg for today.  You're welcome. :D

Unexpected joy that comes out of left field, out-of-the-blue, and that is the golden egg moment.

  • How frequently do you see your moments like this?
  • How often do you express gratitude for this blip of joy?
  • Do you take it for granted?

What if you remove expectation entirely and put your optimistic energy into everything breathing the lifeline of gratitude in said moment?  Wouldn’t the quality of your life be better by doing this?

WHY is this important?  You are merely blessing it with positive energy.

There is no failure if you have tried and if you put your optimism there into your effort, isn’t that a better way to go?  Isn’t it better to be positive about everything, even if things do not go your way?  This Lovely Souls is called “Doing your best and being okay with knowing you did your best.”

This is where self-acceptance is born.  If we do not accept ourselves first – how in the world are we going to be in a place where we can co-exist with others?

Chew on that for a bit.

Shouldn’t we be supporting THAT instead?

Doesn’t that reinforce the human psyche and spirit from another place entirely?

Whether or not you agree with me, my point is to share the ‘twist’ on what energy work can do for you.

We should choose to accept that no effort is wasted.  One’s identity and attachment to outcome is about hope, not cautious optimism. We should change how we connect to it because being “cautiously optimistic” has a similar vibration as “reluctantly hopeful.”
Isn’t that just half-assed energy?

Instead, let us feed optimism by giving it all of our love, light, hope, faith, trust and belief, If we do that, optimism has a chance to flourish to become what it was intended to become.

Doesn’t that make better sense and a more constructive use of the energy you put out from your soul?  If it doesn’t – perhaps I need to provide more clarity, so allow me to articulate it this way…(Watch Video for a full explanation)

Now that we have that down, let’s talk about breaking the mold – the one that imprisons you to believe all of the negative stuff that keeps you captive from living from the place of liberation, joy and true freedom from soul and higher consciousness level.

Whoa, right?  Yeah, I said it.. but I am not just a mouthpiece, I believe it.

Here’s the thing Lovely Souls – while we cannot control the outcome of anything with others involved, we can manage our own life, consciousness, and ability to put optimism in our being to be all in for showing up positively as best as we can.

Isn’t that how you want to remember yourself living when all of this is done?

Take a moment to assess that you have twenty-four hours you put into your day.

You can choose to waste it with destructive negative energy or actually be a catalyst for change by choosing positive energy to find solutions, answers and constructively be part of shaping the energy into something that can make a difference.

How we link to changing the dynamics of ‘molds’ is a big piece of this.

Why so?

If we stay complacent in accepting molds that do not work in our best interest for change as a standard, we lose the opportunity to shift ourselves into a place to move things forward.

Breaking molds starts with choosing to do so. Let’s start with breaking the self-sabotage mold of believing that optimism requires a caution label… you’ll be glad you did.

Namaste.

UNDERSTANDING THE LINK OF TRANQUILITY

Go ahead Lovely Souls…. Roll your eyes.  Tranquility, Tranqshimility.. yeah, yeah.  You probably hate being told to calm down, eh?  Well you’re not alone.
First, let’s understand it a bit better:

You like things how you like them.

Do you have a need ‘to know’ or a ‘need to control’ things?
Do you get frustrated when you try to plan, but things don’t quite go according to your plan?
How are you with sitting in calmness and tranquility?
Do you hate it?  Are you antsy?  Can’t sit still…?
Are you reactive?

*Smiles* Relax!  Don’t hate the messenger telling you to chill out and relax.
You are right on schedule right now…

Instead understand, this is being channeled to tell you this so you can tap into your TRANQUILITY LINK.

My question for you now is …. CAN YOU TRUST that the LINK OF TRANQUILITY is there to HELP YOU?   Do you believe it is for purpose?   Are you able to sit with it.

Here’s a bigger question for you… ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR IT?

Ah…. Yes, gratitude – where has THAT been?

Let’s understand how the Universe works, in that we must be grateful for all things and that includes timing.  However, humans rarely stop in their tracks to express gratitude for timing.

Instead, most humans curse timing instead of looking at it as a blessing, because most humans are ego-driven wanting things to go their way and they want it to happen NOW.

But what if, things didn’t happen NOW, only so that what is delivered is better because it took the time to be created behind-the-scenes for you while you were stomping your feet, getting stressed, or impatient not just with timing, but yourself and the world and others?

Trust yourself.  Sure, things may not look all that pretty to you right now as you throw that tantrum, but don’t think for a second you’ve been ‘forgotten’ or that you need to dare dive into a place of feeling defeated.

If you believe in the idea that things happen at the right time and for reason and purpose, maybe your trust could be reignited and your faith restored in what is possible instead of looking at timing (or stalled moments) as a negative thing.

If you take the time to examine your life over say… the past decade, you’ll see yourself now through new eyes.  When you see yourself through new eyes, you can appreciate how these years and even the challenges you went through were for purpose beyond what you could actually see at the time.

But here you are on the other side of it, it is easier to observe and learn to realize you are where you are and it is the right place to be right now, even for reasons you may not quite fully understand.

The LINK OF TRANQUILITY is about your higher-self wisdom. It is about knowing that life cannot always be noisy, action-packed or chaotic any more than it can be always peaceful or calm, or maybe in your eyes boring or status quo.

By appreciating the empty legs of time given and provided, we humans can appreciate the gift of that space for the soul to recalibrate its truest and purest truth, communication of purpose, solidifying the purpose and reason for being.  This wisdom is another gift to be grateful for if you understand that you have to have the ability to tap into your own LINK OF TRANQUILITY to SEE IT, appreciate it and ultimately have gratitude for it.  Without the peace, there is only noise.  If you allow yourself to sit in a confident place of trust, you can gain all of the wisdom you need during the tranquil moments where calm can wash over your being as its own loving prescription to discover another avenue of bliss  you may not have seen before.

Are you able to honor your spirit enough to give yourself that gift?
Will you fight it?
How will you find your own creative abilities to expand your own awareness without it?

AH… that is where you will realize, that you cannot unless you do it.

So stop the dizziness of being in this cycle of rebellion if the Universe is providing you a time, space and place to actually hear yourself think, feel yourself feel and yes, KNOW that you have what you need in this moment to deal with what you have to deal with right now.

You’ll discover that this IS a very calming, tranquil place to be.

Namaste.

YOUR LINK OF CLOSURE

Closure… This is a word you probably hear a lot about, however it is usually only left at this surface description of what the word really means.

First, let’s define “closure” in the context of where we are going with this as defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary:

clo·sure : an often comforting or satisfying sense of finality * victims needing closure

; also : something (such as a satisfying ending) that provides such a sense

Many humans use this word to mentally and emotionally provide “comfort” and “peace” after facing or enduring something traumatic themselves, or to provide comfort and peace to someone else.

This sense of ‘finality’ is somehow supposed to help the human psyche and heart find solace in whatever has happened, while the soul sometimes takes a back seat in processing it, because human grief tends to overshadow/override the higher-self-knowledge to deal with remnants of pain.

While ‘death’ of a loved one has the most immediate ushering of confrontational ‘finality’ for someone to have to ever face the idea of closure, “closure” is not as pronounced for some people when it comes to something beyond a human ‘life’ ending.

Examples of this can be anything from the loss of a piece of time, an era, a relationship (i.e. your own losses or even your parents' being widowed or divorced), a job or career, and even geography i.e. buildings, businesses, nature via natural disasters/climate change, people moving away from your neighborhood, and even a favorite product, service or something as basic as a TV show.

Everyone who ‘emotionally connects’ their well-being and identity/existence to something or someone will experience different levels of grief based on their own senses of “loss.”

Inevitably individuals will have different interpretations of the word “closure” to move forward with life and be open to new experiences and change.

I decided to write this blog because everyone around me is experiencing a different summit of facing ‘closure.'  Just because all of these experiences ‘differ’ – does not mean that someone’s grief or dealing with the ‘finality’ of said grief is easy; nor should it be judged by “what context” this LINK of needing closure may be.

It is necessary to discuss this, to bring about awareness for everyone that there should not be discounting of another human’s experience, emotions, and their attachment or sense of loss just because it differs.  It is in understanding the depth of one's link to grief, that we can ultimately discover the LINK OF CLOSURE.

For many people experiencing the recent California fires, or Hawaii’s volcano eruption and hurricane/flooding – the grief and coming to the sense of closure is and can be just as intense as someone losing a parent, child or grandparent or pet. Their identity of community and ‘home’ with energies dispensed into ‘building something’ – can go beyond the material, even grieving for Mother Nature herself, and the life lost with animals and vegetation, history created and made; and the removal of the past.

For many people given pink slips at many of the corporations doing layoffs, the sense of loss and grief sometimes goes beyond the surface loss of a job or paycheck, or even upholding their household, but rather the investment of years of labor, service and believing in something so long it is its own death/connection to what may appear to be wasted, or disregarded, minimizing and dehumanizing contribution.

For many people whose hearts sink hearing or watching the news… grieving a time lost, an era of what may appear to be hopelessness, i.e. 'what the hell is happening with our world,' because the avalanche of complex twists and turns with things changing from what they might have been a decade or more ago, the idea of grief may bring zero sense of closure.

And for those who are grieving the loss of something, which may appear to be as trivial like a TV show ending or a celebrity dying, goes beyond what it is – for many this "escapism" from all of the above said realities, and it may perhaps be the only existing refuge for those who have zero support systems to deal with said losses.

Thus, it isn't really the loss of what appears to be the surface loss, but it is the "coping mechanism" to escape from deeper grief as the only way out for mindless pleasure, and to not feel so isolated or alone.  Many experience this with the loss of an icon/public figure, whose work may have gotten said human through tough times or perhaps remained the only hope for inspiration in symbolism of "If they are still here surviving, so can I."  The cross-association with said "identity" provides some connection with 'what is possible' - now being gone through said death.  This is where humans may feel their own will dissipating with said loss.

We as humans, as a culture, as a society need to look at grief and closure beyond saying the words.

Finding one’s self through the fire is what the human journey is all about.  It is here we understand the navigation, the coping mechanisms to deal with daily life, stretch the human capacity to rise to the soul level of awareness and somehow go beyond survival mode.

My hope is that I can create a new lens to see the human experience through understanding how the mind-body-soul-and-spirit connection work in cohesion with the energy around us by breeding a communication of thought-provoking concepts, ideas and generate a sense of knowing things go beyond the level in which you see things.

So my questions for you now are:

  • ·         Are you aware of how you feel your sense of closure?
  • ·         What brings you peace and comfort?
  • ·         How do you comfort and provide peace for others?
  • ·         Are you judgmental over someone’s process because it differs from yours?
  • ·         How do you compartmentalize the context of how you identify loss/grief?
  • ·         Do you know where your LINK of closure lies within your soul?
  • ·         How do you connect with your higher-self to pull yourself through the fire?
  • ·         What do you see as your emotional connection to everything around you from humans, pets, nature, your environment, your vices of escape, your career, your mattering in your own neighborhood and community and how do you apply your offering of help/assistance to others?

This may be deep thinking for your morning coffee, or even to ponder over a lunch hour, but my soul wishes to bring this greater awareness to the light of human consciousness to create an opportunity for you to go beyond yourself to learn more about what you don’t bother to ask yourself.

Thus… I am asking you here.   My bigger question is – What is your answer and HOW do you LINK TO CLOSURE?

I will end this here, so the discussion in your own mind and heart can begin.

My hope is you realize that closure creates openings for understanding ourselves and others better, and it is through this communication, I want to help you with yours.

Namaste.
