LINKING TO CHANGED PERSPECTIVE

Let’s face it – Habits are hard to break.  It is why sometimes humans have to keep getting back up on the horse to begin again to ‘try again’ once they fall back into the gravity of old behavior.

The good news?

This LINK can be changed.

The bad news?

Only YOU can change it.

Worse news?

If you think, “only you can change it” is bad news, and then you probably will not ever change it.

WHY?

Because your perspective is already on the default of negative thinking.

HOW?

If you read the words as “only you can change it” as bad news, this is indicative of your reading a sentence and adopting it and adapting it as so.

This is a test.

The REAL NEWS?

You can choose anytime you wish to read, “Only you can change it” as a positive thing and choose to see that as self-empowerment.

If you choose to not see it that way, perhaps it is time to dig a little deeper and ask yourself WHY you did not see that having the responsibility of changing and tweaking YOUR OWN LINK as a good thing.

THE TRUTH?

It is a good thing.  It is the very best thing – because you are the driver of your own life’s vehicle.
That’s right.  You are the driver.  So if you choose to see that you can change your perspective because you are empowered to change your perspective instead of falling into an old habit of falling into the negative place, it means you can always move forward and be positive.

NOTHING has to BE… except YOU and your openness.

It is that simple.

When you are comfortable with the idea you are sticking to a plan to make changes for the better and changes for the positive, even if others choose not to agree with you – you still have the choice to stay the path.

This is what most humans miss.

It is YOUR LIFE.

It is YOUR JOURNEY.

No one else gets to live your life but you.

Did a light bulb just go on?

Did you finally SEE IT?

It’s cool, eh?

We are not imprisoned by a LINK staying the same unless we choose to always LINK to that LINK itself.

Our journey is what we make it.

Our destiny is its own master plan.

We can take all the detours or scenic routes we wish to take.

However, nothing has to be permanent.  Nothing has to stay temporary either.

The LINKS in your life are gifts all by themselves.

You can learn and grow from them.

You can honor what they teach you.

You can be grateful for all of them if you examine them as tools to make you wiser, stronger, better and more educated about your own choices.  It is in those choices we have the opportunity to embrace our mistakes.  It is here that we have a window to learn and get back up on that horse again if we choose.

We can also choose to pet the horse and say, “Thank you, you can rest, I’ve appreciated the view from here, but I can walk because I am strong enough to keep going.”

Our perspective is LINKED to learned behavior, adopted or acquired behavior.  We can also ADAPT and be FLEXIBLE within what we know to explore new vistas of what we do not know.

Again, this is our choice to do so.

This is where perspective sometimes remains stagnant.

The analytical person can spend a great deal of time over-analyzing it.

The action-oriented person may take a lot of action, but because there was not enough thought behind what’s going on, everything remains the same.

The open person can sometimes be too open and not make a choice as to which perspective is best suited until they clean up the old mess, which came before the opportunity.

The closed person can sometimes repel for fear of change.

The rational person can act like the closed person, but be too practical about the change to make one.
The free-bird can choose everything and sometimes not realize by doing that, the perspective never takes its new shape because there is too much happening.

Which person are YOU?

Do you know?

Are you aware of what YOUR OWN RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR PERSPECTIVE looks like?
HOW DO YOU LINK TO WHAT YOU THINK?

Think about that for a second or ten or more and think about it again.

It is in this ‘place’ where we understand ourselves; we get to understand who we are and what our own thoughts actually create within our daily life.

How does yours look?

Take time for yourself to ask yourself all of these questions.  You may surprise yourself with your own answers, because you are always so busy and too busy to actually think about the stuff that may be affecting your perspective!

This is most likely to be the case.

In any regard – remember that you are in a place to tweak your LINK and tweak how you LINK to your own LINKS in your journey as you live it.

None of us is really stuck like we think we are.  It just may be our perspective which needs shifting and changing and letting those thoughts influence and affect what else is happening WITHIN US – so that we ourselves can improve upon what is going on.

You have the power to change your LINKS at ANY TIME – on YOUR TIMELINE… not someone else’s.

For all you know the perspective you have right now is purposeful, even if it is to stall you temporarily from making a faux pas.  Remember, even delays are gifts!

But then… you have to have that perspective to see it.

Namaste.

LINKING TO THE BEAUTY WITHIN

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  While most may ‘see’ beauty as something subjective, we are reminded once again that it is how we LINK to what our definition of what beauty is and how we perceive it.

The world needs more appreciation when it comes to finding the beauty in everything and in every situation.

With everything, we see - beauty can be found if we do not only see with our eyes.

Read that again.

With everything we see, beauty can be found if we do not only see with our eyes.

Have you ever felt the snuggle of a smelly puppy who really needed a flea bath but enjoyed the instant unconditional love you felt in that moment?  Did the fact the puppy needed a bath make the moment any less beautiful?

Have you ever listened to a song played on an old rickety-seen-better-days piano that desperately needed to be tuned, but found the song to be a beautiful undiscovered golden symphony?  Did the condition of the piano make the song any less beautiful to hear?

Have you ever picked up a dusty, musty old book from your local library with worn cover and got lost in the magic of every word of the story, and had it take you to faraway places of mystery?  Would it have mattered if the cover of the book were pristine?

Have you ever smelled a fragrant piece of fruit or a flower and found beauty in the fragrance even if the flower was wilted or the fruit had a blemish?

If you have experienced any of these things, you know what is possible.  If you have ever simply admired a painting or photograph where the shadows or lighting was off … did judgment ever cross your mind?  If lines were blurred, or the corners were tattered?

Did you still appreciate the beauty without seeing perfection?  Was it possible to appreciate the passion of the artist?

Was it possible to be taken away by the artistry of the moment?

If so, then you know it is possible to find beauty with something much more than just your eyes!
Therefore, dare we ask the question of all humans – WHY is there judgment when it comes to everything else?

Do you know the answer?

Do you choose to blame advertising?  Media?  Society?

When you take away the blame and examine ideals – you get to the root of it all by looking on the inside as well as your influences and perception.

How we choose to LINK to our daily life, every minute, moment and our entire lifespan of our journey is vital to appreciating the beauty of all that it holds.

You can be temporarily annoyed by some inconvenience in your life, but if you simply STOP to appreciate the one hundred eighty degree perspective of any situation, you can see beauty within the moment or the experience and live it, beyond the experience, which presents itself.

Our entire journey and destination can be even more beautiful than we have thought possible by simply embracing the idea that there is always more than meets the eye and that beauty can indeed be in our eyes as the beholder to see all beauty in all moments and in all situations.

People who survive the unspeakable and unthinkable appreciate with deep gratitude the idea that their own struggle is beautiful because of knowing that they can see beauty in the little things as well as the big things and everything in-between.

Talk to anyone who is grateful for having walked through fire, you will see a spark that exists in their eyes and their hearts BECAUSE of the experience presenting a different kind of beauty in patience, tenacity, endurance and growth.

When we allow ourselves to stretch, to reach, to feel, listen, smell, touch, and expand the idea of beauty beyond what our eyes see, our hearts can see even more than the eyes alone can see.

We can then embrace our journey differently and improve our LINK to our idea of what beauty is – in all ways, from all perspectives and with new vision and enlightenment beyond what is there to initially greet us.

It is with that, we know the beauty within every experience is there for us to simply enjoy if we choose, and if we choose it, we choose life and living it in an entirely different way than we have before.

LINKING to beauty through every piece of our being enables us to appreciate everything and create a deeper, richer, more meaningful way to live.

Enjoy and see beauty and know once you do, you always have an abundance of it within along your pathway.

Namaste.

NEW YEAR, NEW LINKS FOR YOUR LIFE

Fresh start.
Clean slate.
With new beginnings,
We can create.

With the passing of each year, a new one begins – and with it, new intentions for everyone on the planet.  Universally, the New Year is one of both unification and of consciousness in hope and renewal, however we need not always focus on the New Year being an opportunity for new beginnings.  We can shift and change that LINK now by remembering that every single day is an opportunity to renew.

Many believe that our attachment to the idea of change must be connected to dates on a calendar, but if we look at dusk and dawn as the closing and beginning of time spent with each day being all we have, we can develop a deeper appreciation for all that is…RIGHT NOW.

Reconfiguring this key LINK within your life provides you the opportunity to comprehend your emotional and cerebral identity LINK you created long ago to how you choose to decide to process ‘meaning’ in life and how you connect it.

Is this automatic recall?

Is this a behavioral pattern?

Can you make a commitment to re-evaluate your own connection and go within to make the shift?

The answer is YES.

During any moment within your journey, you can change your own destiny by choosing how you identify with processes you’ve previously set in motion to change how you act and react in your next phase of life.

While many have New Year’s resolutions to quit smoking or drinking, live a healthier lifestyle and change old habits and patterns in the physical realm of being, we also have the opportunity to tweak the LINKS on a mental and emotional front in connection to previous behavior to eliminate old issues.

Rather than have old issues repeat themselves, you have the power to change the LINKS which no longer work for where you’re going or what you are doing next in your life.

The process itself can be arduous and sometimes painful in shedding your own idea of who you think you are or who you thought you were supposed to be, but it is vital and necessary as part of the imperative process of change.

Change is constant.

You are constantly changing.

Life is constantly changing.

Each day is a new beginning… if you fail at a goal or resolution, you do not need to wait until the following year to ‘be better’ or to re-address the failure.  Each day is a new day to begin AGAIN.
Think about it and start ignoring the calendar as a ‘must do this by XYZ date’ – and give yourself the permission to be human, but to also succeed each time you set out to try again.

Determination and persistence go a long way when you begin to recognize your own internal clock of how you feel in dealing with your resolutions instead of letting a calendar dictate to you, whether or not you have succeeded.

Therefore, old behavioral patterns are as useless to your changed pathway because they were not designed to be utilized with your new journey.

Confused?  Let’s break this down further into a more identifiable explanation.

For years, aluminum foil was considered to be the ultimate ‘go-to’ wrapping/storage wrap. For some, this old wrap still is very useful.  But when the microwave was invented, aluminum foil could not be used here – it became dangerous to use it inside of a microwave.

For years, the flathead screwdriver was a useful ‘go-to’ tool in building all things – that is until the Phillips screwdriver came along and the Allen wrench came a long and different tools became necessary in order to adapt to the change in the variety of uses of building different kinds of items with different screws.

For years, a floppy disk drive was the ultimate way of storing information until CD-ROM and flash drives, zip drives and the Cloud came along…  you get the picture.

Just like switching from a turntable with vinyl records to CDs to iTunes or whatever your point of ‘change’ you’d like to use for reference, you have to see that nothing stays the same.  So why should the way you deal with your goals or resolutions?

If we examine change and change being inevitable, we must identify old processes, solutions and ‘go-to’ familiar LINKS used in life to problem-solve and foster change within.

As humans living on Earth, this process in itself is a tad more challenging to adapt because the root of it resides in a comfort-zone and recall learned behavior process which has to shift consciousness before it becomes a new habit or ‘go-to’ space to use efficiently and evolve into everyday action.

Make a list of your good habits, and then make a list of your bad habits.  Notice which list is longer and which list took longer to adapt.  You’ll see that bad habits were easier to adopt into your life than the good ones, which is why they still reside within your way of living.

For any resolution or goal to succeed, you must understand the ‘fear’ or ‘resistance’ behind the unwillingness to change and tweak the LINK within to comprehend WHY you have this fear or resistance.

What are you afraid of losing by making said changes?

What is the resistance about and can you properly separate your own ideas with regard to the resistance in relation to your family, friends, peers or others who are forcing you to be someone you are not?

Start with choosing to become grounded on the change from the position of it being YOUR choice and you will start to see how your own creation of change for YOURSELF (not anyone else) is the motivating and driving force behind the change.  This breeds new ground for success, because it comes from YOU – not someone else’s plan.

Without doing so, any attempt to move forward will be unsuccessful because you will be operating back in default mode of the bad habit or the bad behavior – not only because it is familiar and comfortable and what you have ‘known,’ but because you haven’t adapted your new solutions and are still stuck in your old methods of ‘dealing.’  More importantly, the motivation will be wrong from the get-go.  Once YOU decide what changes, resolutions or goals you want for yourself without outside influence, you can begin to step foot back on your own personal journey for your destiny designed specifically for YOUR LIFE.

When we begin to address the root of the failure for resolutions and change the LINKS within our life in how to start a new beginning, we recognize we hold the key to making the change we wish to make.

Wishing you the very best for each new day and each new year.

Namaste.
